Blad Cabin

Family meet in our desert oasis
The cabin like our family is growing
Childhood cousins frolic and rumble
Train games are played to amuse the restless mind
Children play in motorized cars
We swim in a water hole to cool our boots
Mechanized machines take us to dirt trailed destinations
Night hunting for pesky rodents dodging fired lead
Morning sky is kind and the lake bares us her fruit

Family Fun Fiesta and Endless Good Times

Six Flags & Folly Photos

Six Flags & Folly

Ian & dad get to spend the day together at the amusement park
Fun was had all day long
The day started with Ian driving his very own truck
We then went sky high & down low with screams of excitement
Then we hitched a ride on a train to nowhere followed by a crash up derby
Climbing a tall mountain we slid down into a pool of water getting us soaked
Next we road with Spongebob on his bubble bike and got squirted with pickle juice
Ian flew a jet fighter & a batman plane
Overcome with hunger we ate greasy craby patties
Continuing with our journey we road antique cars and fed giant fish
We floated down a river log and road in giant boots that skoot
River rafting with raging waves of water crashing around us was one of our favorite thrills
Ice cream settled our sweet tooth and cooled our tummies
Ian finished the day by riding a wild horse that for some reason only ran in a circle
What a day together!

Zombie Dance

It's been a long three weeks since Gavin was born
I feel like I've been sleep walking the entire time
Gavin is adjusting well to his new world
He's had the usual constipation, gas, and rashes
that are common to babies
Parents always wonder if someday the child will appreciate
the work that goes into raising a child
The answer is probably not until they have a child of their own
Time also makes us forget child raising hardships
In my opinion the first 6 months is the hardest
Mostly because of the sleep factor
My sleep is like a deeply guarded treasure
When somebody steals it
The dragon awakes

Gavin - First Day of Flight

Gavin - Little Falcon

A new little white falcon has taken flight
Gavin born January 4th at 3:48 p.m.
9 lbs big
A soft gentle cry was heard as Gavin entered the world
Eyes opened quickly
Skin a glowing healthy pink
Confused as to why nurses where sticking poking and prodding
Cheeks chubby
Face very similar to his older siblings at time of birth
Fingers long and slim unlike his brothers
Babies are like gifts
that take years to open
As we peel back the layers of wrapper we catch small glimpses
of what lies beneath the paper
Our little falcon is still tightly wrapped
but we feel there is a wonderful gift inside
Welcome home Gavin
